Vehicles & Stock

  1. FOB (Free on Board) price is the cost of a vehicle without any additional expenses, like insurance or freight.
  2. It is the most commonly displayed price.
  3. C&F (Cost and Freight) price, also known as CFR, is the cost of the vehicle plus freight.
  4. CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight) price is the cost of the vehicle plus insurance and freight.
  5. All vehicles on aajapancars.com are listed by FOB price.
  6. Once yousend an inquiry you will be asked to select its port of discharge.

Yes, if you are in Japan, you can physically inspect your vehicle. We would be happy to meet with you. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
 
Availability of spare keys depends on whether or not the vehicle’s previous owner provided them at time of auction. If you cannot find them in the vehicle’s glove compartment, then they have not been provided. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to help with spare keys. However, you can always contact a local professional to make spare keys after receiving your vehicle.
 
Some auction houses don’t allow us to use their pictures. We have to wait until the vehicles are in our yard for our staff to take pictures of them. It usually takes 2-3 days for these pictures to be taken, but the pictures will always be uploaded.

Payment

A proforma invoice is an estimated invoice, or quote, issued by Aya International  company Ltd. This document contains the type and quantity of each vehicle ordered, their value, and other information such as insurance and transportation costs. After receiving this document, you will need to pay the price quoted on this invoice so shipment procedure can start.
Aya International  company Ltd accepts payment through bank transfer, Paypal and Credit Card.
Please process payment for your vehicle within 3 business days after reserving it. The payment needs to appear in our bank account before the shipment process can begin.
We accept US Dollars or Japanese Yen. We have several bank accounts available, when selecting a bank account for payment, please make sure you select the one that can process the currency you want to pay with.
Because the vehicle is already paid in full, we don’t accept cancellations. This means we won’t refund any payment that has already been posted.
If you paid via bank transfer, it will take us approximately 3 business days to receive it. Once we confirm that your payment has been received, we will start the shipment process for your vehicle.

Bank transfer fees are paid by the buyer. Aya International  company Ltd isn’t responsible for it.

Shipping

  1. Consignee name – name of importer legally allowed to receive the vehicle.
  2. Notify party – name and contact details of the person who should be notified of the arrival of the cargo, and could be the actual buyer or receiver of the vehicle, clearing and forwarding agent, or dealer.
  3. DHL address – is the address where all documents (B/L, Export Certificate and Inspection Certificate) will be sent.
Some countries require it, some don’t. For information on the current regulations of a certain country, please refer to the local customs office.
 
Aya International company Ltd has an innovative tool on its website: “My Purchases”. Use My Purchases, to follow all steps of an order, from initial inquiry to completion. You can check on the status of a transaction (inquiry, waiting for payment, waiting for information, in preparation, shipping or completed), see shipping information (ETD, ETA, port of departure, port of discharge), pass on information to your sales consultant and download a copy of all related documents (proforma invoice, B/L, inspection certificate and export certificate).
Yes. Some changes may occur in the shipping schedule as decided by the shipping company for various reasons. These may include weather issues, technical issues, etc., all of which are beyond Aya International company Ltd control.
Sometimes a shipping company may plan a journey without yet having decided an ETA. In such situations, we will inform you of the ETA as soon as we receive this information from the shipping company.

Documents

DHL Delivery Address – is the address where Aya International company Ltd will send you all documents related to your vehicle, including the bill of lading, inspection certificatie, and export certificate.
  1. Consignee name – name of importer legally allowed to receive the vehicle.
  2. Notify party – name and contact details of the person who should be notified of the arrival of the cargo, and could be the actual buyer or receiver of the vehicle, clearing and forwarding agent, or dealer.
  3. These two information and the DHL address are necessary in order to import a vehicle. A shipping company cannot issue a bill of lading (B/L) without both a consignee and notify party.
  1. During the shipping process, Aya International  company Ltd will send you the following documents in one envelope:
  2. Bill of lading (B/L) – which details shipment of merchandise. This is necessary for you to take possession of the vehicle;
  3. Export certificate – which certifies that the vehicle is no longer registered in Japan;
  4. Inspection certificate – (if required by your country) which certifies that the vehicle is road worthy
  5. Aya International company Ltd will receive these 3 documents at different times. As soon as we receive an individual document, we will upload a copy to your account (My Purchases). If you want, we can also send a digital copy through Viber, WhatsApp, Messenger, or any mobile messaging platform. When all three documents are complete, Aya International company Ltd will send it in a single package via DHL.

Glossary

A vehicle is available if no one has reserved it yet.
A bill of lading is a legal document issued by the shipping company or their agent to Aya International company Ltd. This document details the type and destination of the vehicle being carried. It also states that your vehicle has been loaded into a vessel. After having received your payment, Aya International company Ltd will send you this document. You will need it to take delivery of your vehicle at its discharge port.
 
A price that includes the price of a vehicle plus freight cost.
A CIF price includes the price of a vehicle plus the insurance and freight cost.
A clearing agent is a party, authorized by international customs authorities, who can manage the clearing process of your vehicle for you.
A commercial invoice is required by customs to determine the true value of your imported vehicle. It is issued by Aya International company Ltd .
The consignee is the importer’s name. It can be a person or a company.
Container shipping is a method of transporting goods by sea. Every container conforms to a standardized size. Up to 6 vehicles can fit into one container, depending on size of container and size of vehicle.
The physical address where we should send the documents regarding the vehicle.
The date and time when a ship is expected to arrive at a name city or port.
The date and time when a ship is expected to depart from a named city or port.
An export certificate is a legal document confirming your vehicle is being legally exported from Japan. This document is issued by the Japanese government.
A Free on Board (FOB) price indicates the price of a vehicle without any additional costs like insurance or freight.
A forwarding agent is a person or company that will manage the transport of your vehicle from the discharge port to its final destination.
The inspection certificate is a document issued by authorized inspectors who certify your vehicle has passed the required pre-export inspection. It asserts the vehicle meets the required specifications and is in good mechanical condition when leaving the port of departure.
The insurance document certifies your vehicle benefits from a marine insurance (CIF shipment).
The person or company the shipping agent will contact to notify you when your vehicle arrives at its port of discharge.
The departure point of a vessel.
The place where a vessel is off-loaded and all shipments are delivered to the consignee.
An estimated invoice, or quote, issued by Aya International company Ltd. This document contains the type and quantity of each vehicle, their value and other information such as weight, insurance cost and transportation cost.
A vehicle is reserved when a customer has booked the car but has not yet paid. If the customer does not pay within 3 days, the vehicle’s status will become available again.
Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) is a shipping method allowing vehicles to be directly driven into or out of a ship without the use of a container.
A person or company representing the shipping company in a port, who is authorized to manage the company shipment and cargo at said port.
A vehicle is sold when the payment has been completed. For legal reasons, Aya International company Ltd cannot remove a sold vehicle from its stock before it has arrived at the port of discharge.
The final country where the vehicle is going to be both registered and used.
